Q: How long does the course last?
A: Both our Primary and Primary with SEN QTS courses last for one academic year.

Q: Am I eligible to apply?
A: Candidates must have secured or be in the process of securing (before course commencement)

  • GCSE C or above in Maths, English and Science.
  • A degree at class 2:2 or above in a National Curriculum subject or relevant applied discipline.
  • 10 days experience in a mainstream or specialist school (depending on route chosen).
  • Successful completion of Literacy and Maths Skills tests.

Q: Which university will I be aligned with?
A: The School Direct programme is accredited by the Pennine Lancashire SCITT. The PgCE element of the course is delivered by the University of Cumbria and is delivered in collaboration with ELIP Teaching School at Tor View School.

A: £9000

A: ELIP do not offer any financial recompense, however bursaries and funding may be available to you depending on your qualifications and circumstances. Further information can be found here.
