Welcome from the Headteacher

On behalf of our whole school community, I am delighted to welcome you to Tor View School Specialist Learning Community. I am privileged to be Headteacher at Tor View Specialist Learning Community where our learners are amazing in every part of life. All of our staff are fantastic at their roles along with working together as a team to ensure the learners of our school are at the centre of all they do.

Our ethos is to Inspire, Learn, Enjoy and Achieve. With this at the forefront of our mind, we have high expectations for all of our learners. Our team of highly skilled specialist teachers and teaching assistants enables them to plan fun, engaging and interactive lessons to suit the needs of all learners in the classroom, to ensure progress is being made in all areas of the curriculum and learners are achieving their potential. We are continuously working hard to develop the school’s facilities to ensure the learners have the best possible experiences during their education here at Tor View.

We have built up a great partnership with other professionals and have multi-agency links to ensure that we support our learners and their families in the best possible way. Our parent liaison works tirelessly to ensure she is in regular contact with those families who require support.  We are proud of our working relationship with parents and professionals to maintain a positive outlook and future for the families we serve.

I hope, through easy navigation around the website, you are able to discover more about the achievements and opportunities that are on offer to all of our learners and see what life is like at Tor View! Should you have any questions, please contact the school office on 01706 214640.

I look forward to working in partnership with you.

Mrs S J Dillon
