All governing bodies of maintained schools and maintained nursery schools and the proprietors of academy schools have a legal duty to publish information on their website about the implementation of the governing body’s or the proprietor’s policy for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This SEND Information report is updated annually and reports on what the school has done to deliver education for young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

Our SEND Local Offer

The SEND Local Offer brought together information that was helpful to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and their families. It provided information on public services that were available within:

  • Education: for example nurseries, playgroups, schools and colleges as well as support services like educational psychologists, early years and early intervention workers
  • Health: for example GPs, paediatricians, school nurses and therapists
  • Social Care: for example respite services and children’s disability services.

The SEND Reforms placed a statutory requirement on schools from September 2014 to make information available to parents about how the school supports children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. This information formed the main basis for what was referred to as the school’s Local Offer. Our Local Offer is available to download on this page.

Information on Lancashire County Council’s Local Offer can be found on the Lancashire County Council website.

The role of Special Educational Needs Co-ordination (SENCo) is carried out by Samantha Dillon, our Head of School. Her contact details are:
