Hello and welcome to Embrace Teaching School Hub, part of Tor View School and The Sea View Trust.
The Department for Education (DfE) launched a new Teaching School Hub infrastructure of 87 centres of excellence for teacher training and professional development, replacing the previous network of around 750 Teaching Schools. After submitting a successful bid to the DfE, Tor View was awarded Teaching School Hub status and, following initial welcome events with the schools in the designated region, the name of Embrace TSH was agreed.
The Teaching School Hub programme is part of a comprehensive strategy dedicated to supporting teachers throughout their career. It forms part of the recruitment and retention strategy currently being implemented nationally through the Hub network. Embrace TSH is responsible for the region known as LWY5. This region encompasses schools in the Chorley, Fylde, South Ribble and West Lancashire areas and we will play a significant role in delivering and supporting the 200+ schools in this region with:
- School-based Initial Teacher Training (ITT)
- Early Career Framework (ECF)
- The new Specialist National Professional Qualifications (NPQs): LT, LTD, LBC, LL & LPM
- Leadership NPQs: SL, EYL, H & EL
- Appropriate Body services for Early Career Teachers.
- other high-quality evidence-based professional development to school leaders and teachers.
We are absolutely thrilled to have been given the designation of Teaching School Hub and we look forward to collaborating and working with all of our new colleagues in the future. In the meantime, please follow us on Twitter for updates or, if you have any questions, contact us via email at Embrace.TSH@theviewtrust.org.
