Today has been a special day at Tor View. We have been joined by Peter Sweetmore and Andrew Sweetmore who are the family of Mrs. Clarke, our temporary Head of Primary.
A few months ago, Mrs. Clarke's mum, Gillian Sweetmore sadly passed away following a period of illness. Gillian worked at Tor View School, as a teaching assistant level 3, for many years and was always a friend for everyone.
In her memory, donations were given towards our Friends of Tor View charity. In honour of Gillian, Friendship benches have been purchased and placed around school - one in the Primary department, one in the Secondary department, one in the FE department and one on our bike track.
We hope our Friendship benches can support anyone who needs a friend or anyone who needs to talk.
